Screen accurate T-1000 costume

Another question, in the beginning when the cop is checking out the electrical disturbance he takes a flashlight out. Was that on his belt? I know the T1000 never used the flashlight after that (i guess it was left at the scene). But was there something on his belt it attached to?

You really can't tell in the theatrical release DVD and the Extreme edition DVD of Terminator 2. The shot is too dark and it cuts away too fast to tell.

Extreme Edition/Theatrical Release:

I put the Ultimate Edition DVD in and the shot was a little longer and you could see more of the flashlight.

To me it looks like he has it in his front right pocket when he exits the vehicle, or there is a pocket on his trouser leg that is for a maglight/knife/anything that he had it stuck in.

It didn't seem to be attached to his duty belt from what I can tell.

Fetts.Sobriquet did you get a look at his shoes from the scene I mentioned earlier? It is when T1000 is in the street and the piece of metal morphs back into his shoe.

I cant thank you enough for helping identify this stuff!

Most likely the flashlight is stuck in a small back pocket located halfway down the back of his leg. The pockets are sometimes called a Sap Pocket as it was supposedly where an officer could store his SAP. The LAPD style uniform pants came standard with that small pocket. Very few cops still carry a SAP, but the pocket does make a convient place to stick a small flashlight. Also the color of uniform which almost alternates between a dark blue and almost black is known as "Midnight Blue". This color was very distinctive again to the LAPD Syle uniform which a lot of different departments in California adopted.

One thing that could be done to avoid confusion with a real cop and make the costume more identifiable you should add some nice silver "bullet holes" to the front and back. As is people are more than likely to think that you're dressing up as a cop and not a T1000 but the "bullet holes" would really sell it as being the T1000, at least to those people familiar enough w/T2 others might might just think that you're a cop with some weird silver coffee/donut stains. :D

That's exactly what I am going to do. I just wanted to nail the costume first. Which it looks like we have. Still need the right radio and badge with correct numbers.

Most likely the standard type of LAPD radio carried was some type of Motorola Model and the versions available back in the 90's were quite varied, anything from a radio operating in the 100MHZ range that looked like a brick to a smaller trunked portable radio, with keypad buttons on the front, operating in the 300MHZ or higher.
If you want to go cheap just get a kids toy model handheld radio and paint it dark blue/grey or black.

I was able to find a picture of a radio used by the CHP in the 90's. It's not a Motorola but GE. It is still a typical radio used by the police in the 90's.

Not a 100% match, but definitely closer than the Motorola types I've seen that don't look as square and fat as this or the movie version.

Cool.

Another place to check out for police uniforms is The Quartermaster ( http://www.qmuniforms.com/ ), they specialize in police and security uniforms and may have what you need. They're based in Long Beach, CA so there might be a decent chance of them carrying something that closely resembles an LAPD uniform. For shoes you could try www.copshoes.com , they're a police and security shoe specialist so they might have something you could use shoe wise although The Quartermaster carries shoes as well.

Just to show you guys I haven't forgotten about this thread...

I commissioned about 15 hits to be made of different sizes and this is one of the smaller ones. I think they are turning out great so far! Ive never seen anyone do the bullet hits accurately.
