Harry Potter Props and costumes

I've seen online a copy of Mad-Eye's eye with strap. The various places have it for less than $10. Has anyone seen them in person? Any good?

I love the new Death Eater masks, as they're much closer to how I envisioned them while reading the books. I was so disappointed with how the Death Eaters looked in Goblet of Fire, with the silly pointed hoods.

I want one SO bad!

So...nobody knows anything about these alternate wizarding currency coins?

that and they looked like contorted KKK members !

Had a super time at the book party with my whole family. Son and daughter got dressed up for it. I gad quite a bit of the Japanese prop replicas including the timeturner which caught quite a few peoples eye. The coins above look abit asian in design to me and don't fit to the description of the book as well, so the movie coins are still my favorite there. The Japanese Monster Book covers are much better than the NECA stuffed book monster in my opinion as well. You can catch some of the new Japanese replicas on eBay as they op up. Noble has done a great job on the wands, like them better than the Japanese ones. So it really goes back and forth on whats available out there.

Description in the book? I don't recall them ever being described, other than being (a) big and gold, (b) medium and silver, and (c) little and bronze. That, plus the serial numbers along the edges of the galleons.

Actually, Ron remarks that the heptagon-shaped 50 pence is shaped weird. I would assume from that that the coins are all round.

I've been thinking for some time about a really cool prop idea. Would need the talents of someone like Juno to pull off. Imagine this:

Combine Juno's wonderful artwork, HP costume(s), basic digital video and editing software and a digital picture frame (many can display a video loop) and you have yourself on page one of the Daily Prophet!

Any merit to this? Anyone done it yet?

Marcus

That IS a cool idea! The Discovery Stores are going out of business, and many have the digital photo frames for cheap!

Has anyone ever found or made a general pattern for the Invisibility cloak that Harry has?

I've been thinking about this too. Anyone have any good pictures of the cloth? I would be fine with just a section of cloth to use for a display.

The best I can do for now is this screen cap from the first movie:

Oh, and here's the letter from Dumbledore, which would make a nice little additional paper prop. :)

Cool, thanks.

I was always under the impression that the cloak was just a simple piece of cloth. It never looked like it had much shape to it. I can't remember if you could see anything more when harry first puts it on. I'll have to go back and watch that scene again.
