I used 1 and 1.5mm and lightly heated it with a heat gun to gradually bend it to shape :thumbsup

How's the weight distribution on these things? Does that grenade launcher make it front heavy?

The Spulse kit is solid resin, so weight is very much evenly distributed. Switching out the grenade launcher for a functional one actually made the front a bit lighter :thumbsup

Should be getting my noble sling fairly soon. Anyone have thoughts on how to attach it? I haven't been able to find small enough U bolts. I suppose I could just bend some rod to shape.
Also, I picked up some hooks to hang the PR on the wall today until I figure out how I want to display it. Painted the mounting plates the same OD I used on the gun
Secured them to the wall and hung the PR so I could get it off the floor! :lol

Received my noble sling yesterday. It looks awesome! Can't wait to get it attached... So back to my previous question, any thoughts on hardware to attach the sling?

Bump for a revisit. Still haven't gotten around to attaching my sling yet. Since the barrel shroud is styrene, I don't think I can attach it there. Also haven't found small enough U bolts to attach the sling to either. Any thoughts?
Also, anyone with the HCG wall mount, can I get some rough measurements? Length, width, and width of one of the "slats"? Thanks in advance

I used two small metal D-rings on my Quest Pulse Rifle.
They are blued welded metal loops not carabiners and my shrouds are styrene... then again almost everything is styrene.
Edit: If you can't get the HGC mount info here is a good build.

Kevin, go to ebay and search for rifle sling mounts. You will get a ton of matches. You can attach it to the side of your GL thru one of the vent holes. It wont be very strong though. I would probably try and locate a metal triangle for the barrel. That could then be bolted to the top of your GL and it should (depending on the maker) come with a welded on loop for your sling attachment. You would need to make a new barrel though.
I still need to come up with a way to display mine.
Oh and by the way, again, AWESOME BUILD MAN!

Thanks for the tip. I reached out to him, but he doesn't have anything available. Also waiting to hear back from Matsuo and SD Studios, but it's not looking to good right now. If I had access to welding equipment, it would be an easy job, but alas I do not!

Quick update, I came up empty on the triangle here on the forum. Someone suggested I contact Phil Steinschneider to see if he could help me out... and he came through! If you haven't seen his incredibly detailed, step-by-step build up take the time to look!
He is having the triangle and vent machined for me, so I should get those in a few weeks. Of course I'll update here once I do!
I also solved my display conundrum. While perusing The Container Store the other day for some oversized shipping boxes, I found their elfa Utility Board. It is 15" tall, and comes in a 24" and 36" length. It mounts to the wall using their proprietary mounts (sold separately). I opted for the platinum 36". I also picked up a pack of the long hooks, which are ABS plastic. They come 3 to a pack, and I've already broken 2 trying to snap them in place. I'm going to see if I can find a suitable metal replacement.
What do you think? Should I stick with the platinum color or give it a paint job?

Nice find.....I would leave it like it is and apply Aliens logos or Aliens photos to it .....or Aliens logo and acid burns......cool display..

Here are the upgraded parts I picked up from Phil... The barrel vent shroud and the barrel triangle with ring.
The vent shroud was squared off at the back, but I had to trim it down at an angle to fit my resin gun. The barrel pictured is just some 1/2" aluminum tube cut to size. I'm about to drill a couple holes in the vent and triangle so I can secure it to the top of the grenade launcher, then I'll hit them with some satin black before securing everything together :thumbsup
