San Diego Comic Con 2009 Photos

Nothing drives me nuts more then people that try to pull off costumes inappropriate to their body types. No matter how good the costume is, it cannot hide the wrong body inside.

What's it going to take for them to admit that they should not be wearing that costume? A prime example is of this woman that I've seen going to major cons for the last couple of years, including this one. Her picture is everywhere! She's dressed as Power Girl. Yes, she's buxom enough but she's also too...well, how do I say it? FAT! There it is. Now it's not a secret. Now would somebody PLEASE go and TELL her?!

Thanks! I'll have more pix up soon! I ended up wearing my MR helmet instead of the better one due to the crowds. I'm sure the resin helmet would have been beat to HELL and bet the fin would have been cracked off multiple times!

I had more fun in it than my GB, which is usually the costume people go nuts over, but I guess since GBs are like troopers now, a dime a dozen, it's not too special any more.

any chance anyone got some pics of me as ww2 captain america? I'm the one in the navy, cardinal, and off white. Not the one in the super bright crayola colors that entered the marvel contest lol

Did anyone else see this guy? I have no idea if its from something or an original design. His costume was amazingly detailed in person.

I'm the crazy looking one on the right. :p

You're missing a little something there bro, let me help you out.

Lets hope there isn't a twilight panel at SDCC 2010!

Below are some of my pictures form the convention. The full set can be found at 2009-07-21 to 2009-07-26 - 2009 San Diego Comic-con International on Flickr.

501st in the Media - Here I am with San Diego Squad Leader, Sam H., and Cenobyte, as they prepare to do some local media coverage outside and in the convention center.

Saturday's 501st Legion Photo Shoot

If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. I believe that this is OSCS's ARF trooper

GI Joe & Cobra - A bunch of us dressed as characters from GI Joe with other costumers. Hasbro invited us to their Thursday panel and to their booth. The classic look was well-received. They look forward to having us next year.

GI Joe Photo Shoot - Taking the example of the 501st shoot, I set up a GI Joe costumers photo shoot at the San Diego Maritime Museum which was kind enough to let us use their Russian sub, B-39. We shot for three hours and got some great pictures. Below are some examples. Our photographer took a few hundred pictures so check the 2009-07-24 - GI Joe & Cobra Photo Shoot Flickr set in a few weeks for more content.

Green Hornet - As at previous conventions, ID1113 and I dressed up as the Green Hornet and Kato. Sony Entertainment is releasing a new movie next year with Seth Rogen. Along with taking pictures in front of the Black Beauty (the Green Hornet equivalent of the Batmobile), we ran into other Green Hornet, Kato and even Batman 1960's style costumers.

Really great pics Mark:thumbsup That Snake Eye's with you looks perfect, too bad the one in the new movie does not look as cool.

I only managed to troop on friday. DW and I did pilots. This was the first ever trooping of the pilot helmet. Five years ago at comic con, the clone debut was 2004. It took me this long to build the pilot.
