Ever since i saw 'Willow' i have loved the charachter 'Kael', especially the skullhelmet. I thought the character was so cool i even based my D&D character on him when i played it back in the day. 7 years ago, when i learned about the RPF i started searching for the helmet, as it has always been in my 'top 3' of props to have'

The only replicas that i have ever seen were made by a group, and they didn't sell them to the public.

The day before yesterday, at 3 AM, right before i was going to bed i checked the propstore and my jaw dropped.....

Put my first payment down for this yesterday to secure it and you won't believe how happy i am that, after 7 years i finally have this piece, which is my first big step into finally getting a 'General Kael' helmet. When it gets here, i will make a copy of the mask and scratchbuild the rest of the helmet.

WOOOOOHOOOOOOO..... :love :thumbsup

Cheers,

Marc

Unfinished Production Kael Mask

A unfinished production mask made for General Kael (Pat Roach) in the 1998 fantasy film Willow. This is one of the masks made for the production for the character of Gen. Kael but has not been cut out to shape or painted with shading. Made from vac formed plastic, the mask has been reinforced in the corner with extra layers. The teeth have been applied separately and secured in place with glue. A great piece from such a classic film

If we could find some nice shoot of the back of the helmet. I would gladly try myself at sculpting it and mold it.

I just love anything vacuumformed (y)thumbsup:thumbsup

I would not have believe this piece was vac formed if you had not posted this. It looks like it has 4 really good undercuts, I bet pulling the buck was a real chore.

Beautiful item, I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Can't wait to see how it turns out, the face looks incredible so far. I'll be interested to see how the finished piece looks!

Um, did anyone notice that the original 2 posts are over 3 years old?

Noob thread resurrection strikes again! Not to mention triple posting.
:rolleyes

That's okay. It's still pretty cool. Maybe we'll even get a followup now!
