I wanted to start a thread just more oriented to just the enormous amount of props produced by myself and my prop team for our fan film. Most of these are still WIP as we multitasking alot of things props, armor, and set building.

Lightsaber Claw Hilts fabricated out of 6065 aluminum piping and rounds.

One of my original custom creations, machined out of solid aluminum round, tubing. Blending Darth Maul's double and Qui Gon Jinn's hilt designs in mind.
After going over numerous re-designs with the martial artist wielding this menace, I decided to stick with a simple design. The end result is the

Thats some awesome gear..
I'm digging the tooth-handled blasters, saber-chucks sound dangerous to wield :p

I love seeing progress pics of this project! I Can NOT wait to see the finished film, I just know it's going to be all kinds of awesome!

by the way I'm from Hawaii too, born and raised in Waianae, currently living in Mililani

Keep up the great work guys

Some of those blasters are bad-ass! Nice work I like how the Anakin lightsaber hilt was incorporated into one of them :)

Well i took time out to make a lil step by step walkthru of my gonk build,
gonkbuild.jpg

1. a card game plastic tray
2. plastic tray holder for my bathroom faucet
3. fiberglassed for reinforcement(is very thin flimsy plastic)
4. lined both pieces up on the gonk's butt
5.marked my lines for cutting
6.I got bored with cutting holes with my grinder and dremel so i decided to use a torch to melt out the initial hole( I wouldn't recommend this at home kids)lol
7. Ohhh pretty burning plastic! kinda cool as it drips fire.
8. Yes, Im a pyro.
9. and theres my initial hole.(of course i had to use the grinder to cut the rest out but it was for my own amusement) hehe
10. glued pieces in place
11. made sure the edges are flush
12. Let sit overnight to harden, scrape away adhesive then your ready to primer.
but wouldn't recommend it for everyone, using my pyro methods

I really like the blaster with the barrel like Boba Fett's EE-3. Really nice job on that one.
My 2 cents on one thing...I do think the one helmet with the Vader dome is too recognizable as being Vaders. For me it is to much of a unique piece to see on another helmet - takes me out of the "realism" of it, and puts it into "Star Wars fan made" of a look which the other ones do not have.:)

The props have a very warhammer 40K vibe too, which seems to meld with the star wars style pretty well.
