Yeah, it looks like I won't be back in action until the 8th of September. Things get a little crazy, then I am in Halloween mode around here, plus we are remodeling the garge and turning it into a full fledge work shop. So the basement will be low man on the totem pole for a little while.

I'll be recreating a new Matte Box for the console. Are you interested in using the old one for the room? I have 2 of them - the console and a much smaller one I created.

Alright gang, Halloween is over and i have been released to get back to work on the room. Now that being said, i have been instructed to fix/repair/complete my AV system.
How does this get me back working in the room again? Well let me tell you. I am in the AV industry and work for a great company Logic Integration (insert plug here) as a System Engineer, however, my own system has never been 100% complete, and the wife has finally put her foot down.
I recently acquired a few cool pieces of equipment to make my system much better, as well as provide some killer adds to my Smugglers Room. But with being a finatic for my wiring and design, i cannot find a way to integrate my new equipment into my current racks, so I have to strip parts of the racks down, and reconfigure most of the wiring.
I realize that this isn't "prop work" but then I thought, "why can't I make this part of my room, add a little Star Wars touch to the equipment racks and perhaps spill a little wire work out from behind the rack and into the room?"
So here we go. I have done two rack drawings that I will start on this weekend, I would love your input and suggestions. I want to add more flashing lights, and plenty of greeblies on the blank panels. So here is my "rough draft" let me know what you think, as well as suggestions you may have to help me tie the room together more.

I am also planning on working on the back wall as well as the equipment racks. This is the idea i am having.
I can integrate real wiring and perhaps on of the LCD's I have onto, and into this wall design.

ok i hope this isn't lame but, between working on the SS project (which i am very excited about), and trying to get my system re-wired and finally completed, . . . i added some greeblies to my racks! Because, after all, what is better than rack porn?

and here is the progress and after shots . . . what do you think?
