Notice the crappy straight line running through the crossguard...oh well the foil tape is only so wide and super wide tape is very pricey...im gonna live with the lines and try to keep them to a minimum. The tape is 1000 times better looking than silver paint. Foil tape is also fragile and will get beat up eventually..I will live with just patching it up. I realize this method is not perfect but I am trying to mimic polished steel very quickly. One cool thing is the tape is made to be outside and to get wet so it makes the sword more water resistant, not like dipped in water (gasp) more like getting morning dew on it for a couple weeks as this is displayed in a business courtyard.
