Hi all! While I was working on my Mark 1 helmet video, I had the idea to make a quick 3D printed "under-the-shirt" arc reactor.
It evolved into bigger project with adding the swappable faceplates with different arc reactor profiles. Some of the designs aren't 100% true because I had to come up...
The first metal-shaping task was to beat the edge of the smaller metal bowl into more of a dome shape to act as the 'cap' of the Mark 1 helmet. Since I didn't have any traditional metal-shaping tools, I decided to try carving out a concave dome into a tree stump with a chainsaw.
It worked...
To measure the approximate cut-off line for the top dome of the helmet, I placed the smaller bowl inside of the larger pot and used a sharpie to mark the cut line. Then used an angle grinder with a cutting disk to make the cut:

Thanks for following up 13doctorwho! It's been a busy summer and have only been able to get a few hours per week to work on it. It seems like I can only make significant progress if I spend full days on it.

I see your point! Hard to say from a worldwide point of view but it's definitely my personal vote. Maybe the jag is more notorious/popular in Europe or countries other than the USA? For instance Elon Musk had once said the only gasoline powered car that he has left in his garage is a '61 E-Type.
