Hey
Just a cool little cheapo project for some poor people like me.
Water gun to "ok" cheap replica?

When i was in town (should have been at home doing coursework)
i found this han solo nerf water gun for £4 in Home Bargins Discount Store
No college work was getting done this day...

So after spraying the dog with the blaster, i removed the water cap on the scope (pops off)
then used my dremel to drill the holes in the muzzle (lazy people could just paint the holes black)
and then sanded all the star wars and licencing mumbo jumbo off the gun with a rough sandpaper
,then a light go over with a fine sandpaper. Easy stuff.

Gave it 1 coat of grey primer (too lazy for more)

Then hit it with some Aluminium (just silver)

Covered the muzzle in masking tape to keep the silver safe
then painted the rest of the gun matte black.

Shineeey and clean

Masked the gun frame from the "handle"? then painted it brown
with some cheap acrylic paints

Painted the screw and gave it a little weathering (i tried)

After dry brushing the edges in silver and coating the muzzle in black and
scrubbing it off in another attempted at weathering, i think it turned out ok for a £4 water gun and under 2hrs of work.

I little comparison with a fresh new one i'l probably repaint aswell.
Hope you enjoyed the cheapo, rushed project.
