This has been in the works for awhile now but got sidelined by the writers/actors strike. There was some question if they would pickup production after the strikes, but apparently they’re moving ahead.
Via ScreenRant: Disney’s Alien Prequel Show to release on FX.
“The showrunner for the Alien prequel is Noah Hawley, the acclaimed creator and primary writer of the Fargo TV series.
”Although it is an uncommon setting for Alien projects, the prequel TV series will actually be set on Earth several decades into the future, with it exploring competitors of the franchise's Weyland-Yutani Corporation.”

Nothing to see here. No, honestly there is nothing to see in this "teaser trailer".
Also, JiminSTLouis you may want to rename the title of the thread before someone posts a new thread and the board gets cluttered up with multiple threads for the same thing, as has been happening a fair bit lately.

I was excited for this until I saw Romulus.
The Alien universe isn't my area of expertise but wouldn't having a Xenomorph on Earth in a prequel mess up the timeline with respect to the first film's encounter with the Alien?
