My girlfriend is a really big fan of spiderman, but always feels self conscious when it comes to picking characters/cosplays that match her skin-tone. I wanted to make her Ashley Barton's Spider-Girl/***** suit so she can have something to wear in the future. My only problem is that I'm not sure where or how to start on this build and if there are even any patterns out there.

If anyone does know of any files out there could you PM me?

If not,

This is the reference photo I'll be using for now:

Contact a pattern commissioner and as them to do the design the pattern can easily be replicated just remove part of the arms so the suit turns into a halter neck with long gloves cut a certain part of the mask so that it's an eye mask with a thin back so she can wear it under her hair asvthe mask will stay in place :) look forward to it

now THAT is a great idea!! been on the hunt for a spider-girl file for my gf. seems like none of the artists here really have any files made for females (mainstream hero files anyway) at least i havent found any yet...
i might have to look up a few more reference photos for this specific version and beg/plead/leg-hump some1 to commission into doing this file lol!
in case i do stumble onto an artist with the file and/or commission for one, then i will definitely let u in on the action! ;D

If you want a costume that fits like the ones in the comics, the person you commission will have to make the pattern from complete scratch. There are a few female costume patterns out there, but since they're all based on the male pattern shapes, the bodice has the tendency to act like a chest binding, losing you the elegant shapeliness of the comics.

Ideally, there would need to be a seem right under the bust with another piece with a curved bottom and darts in the side, that would go from under the bust, following the body's natural curves, up to the neck.

...but one size would not necessarily fit all. It CAN be done, but you need to find someone who can actually draft a pattern and not just re-derive the Raimi or MCL34N pattern.

It's a challenge, but I hope someone tackles it! Good luck!

yup yup. agree entirely, its a definite challenge. got couple ppl in mind to ask. its always worth the price of commission when u know the outcome will be spectacular. fingers crossed that i can find a few good pics to use as a guide in this particular case.
