Black eye makeup

Since I started cosplaying as Batman I have always used the black liquid make-up you can find in the Halloween stores and the problem I always have is that it tends to run when I begin to sweat. Does anyone know of any kind of make-up that will give the same effect that won't run??

Have you tried an oil based makeup? (Grease paint vs. cream)

You could also try skin illustrator. That will stay all day.

I'll have to look into both of those suggestions, someone else I spoke to recommended using eye black that athletes use.

Keep in mind that everyone's skin will react differently to different products. For example, I've gone through about half a dozen different attempts to find a long-wear lipstick that will actually stay on my lips. I can even wipe off a lip stain - a product that is supposed to tint the top layer of your skin so it has to wear off. You may have to try a couple of things before you find something that works well with your body chemistry.

Oh, and if you get a waterproof eyeliner or anything of that sort, you will also need to buy makeup remover to get it off.

I do Dark Knight sometimes too. I use this matte black eye shadow by Urban Decay. It works great and has never run no matter how much I sweat. It's actually pretty difficult to get it off. I do use it pretty heavy though.

Athletic eye black is the best way to go. Has a good color match for most cowls and hold up well after sweat starts pouring down. I'm in florida, so that last bit can be an issue!

Mehron has a liquid for use with pancake make-up instead of using water that sets quite well.
