So this has been an ongoing project of mine for, well… more than a decade. I think I started it in 2013 or 2014. It’s undergone MANY changes, and has had years-long spans of sitting untouched. Ive been playing with it more recently, and I always get sucked back into the “good enough, no, actually, this is terrible” cycle. It’s been a struggle of getting the likeness right, while also capturing the expression of the moment in the scene. I’m ready to just be done and move on to other things, but I’ve honestly lost my ability to look at it objectively. I’m hoping some fresh eyes here (especially some of the more skilled sculptors) can chime in with some real critiques of how I may finally get this to a point worth finishing. Anyhoo, here are some photos at some different angles/lighting. I’m not worried about the “faceless” half - I always wanted to save that as the fun part once I got the likeness where I was happy with it.
