Cap Shield HCMY v 2.0 - Warning

I've seen a couple threads about ideal Cap Shields, and I guess I was naively looking for one...thought I found one, even if it was a "cast" shield. I found several on Etsy and Ebay that all claimed they were all hand made, which I knew was crap, but from all the pics I saw, it looked really good. Soooo, I know it's not spun, I know the colors, looked off, but the size, shape, "casting" looked good, so I bit. Just wanted to let everyone know that the quality is very sub par as to what you would expect from a spun shield from a local (US) shop. When I first pulled it out of the box, it looked great, good weight, the pattern on the back looked good, the leather straps were acceptable, the front looked shiny and nice, the star was not "popped" out and engraved looking. But once I put it up on my stand I noticed there were major imperfections in the casting both front and back. And even though the seller claimed he was in the US, there was no support for exchange or return. Just wanted to give all a heads up if they were considering one of these, you may get lucky, but if not you're likely on your own.

I know I mentioned it in the title, but this is Cap Shield upgraded, v2, HCMY version 2, HCMY upgraded....etc

Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering about the quality of those shields myself.
Although I have to say that for under $380 shipped, being an unlicensed piece and all those imperfections are to be expected. Maybe going for a battle damage paintjob would help blend those casting flaws.
I think it is still a nice looking shield and something I would consider for the price if I didn’t already have two spun shields in my collection (who btw come with their own set of flaws and inaccuracies).
And you still have the King Arts option if you want to go the cast shield route and avoid the questionnable quality control.

It's not horrible. Maybe I just had unrealistic expectations. I have a Mjolnir from a similar site, and it is in really good shape, so I guess I was expecting something like that. I do also have an earlier (mid 2018) version of a Cap Shield Central shield, so now I need to decide which I want to keep and which I want to sell. Thanks for the comments, though. Appreciate the input.
