Recently I've dusted off my old, weathered MR Elite Edition Dl44 and decided that I'm not quite fully satisfied with it any more - specifically, its the inaccurate barrel that's causing me some annoyance. What I'm looking for would be someone who would be willing to be commissioned to lathe down the existing off-center, round bottomed barrel and machine a new, custom bull barrel for it to bring it up to snuff. While I'd love to get a live-fire someday, that's too unrealistic for me for a good long while, and I already sold both my MGCs years ago (one of which went to Scottjua), and chances are I'll likely never find another.
I've got the upper and lower receivers separate, so no worries about any kind of dynamic offbalance while being spun in the chuck. As far as I know, no one's drastically modified a MR EE like this before, unless I'm mistaken and/or simply uninformed. If anyone would be willing to take up this challenge, or could recommend me to somebody who can handle something like this; then please get in touch w/ me.
