Ben Chapman was the man that made the creature what he was and always will be. Ben was another tall man and was the main creature in the first movie. The creature was the first stepping stone to all the movie creatures suits in FX today.

The Creature will always be a hallmark of monster creations IMHO. It is a very well designed suit that defies time. It does not look dated, like may other monster suits of the era.
Great paint work on the suit!!! I love the varying color tones and spots on the scales. It gives the costume an exceptionally realistic look!!

It looks wonderful ! Its one thing to sculpt a piece and its such a very hard thing to get it right, but with out a great paint job on it, it will just look like crap and lifeless! and all the hard work you put into your sculpture goes down the drain.

Incredible painting Joe, I think your paint scheme is giving the Creature a whole new look, much more lifelike and fishy looking. DB and his son did a great job on the sculpt, and your painting really brings out the details of that..... I know it is going to be a collector's dream to own this suit.

nice suit there man.Looks killer., but I am reminded of my age every time I see that creature.I can remember watching a 3D showing of the revenge of the creature in the very early 80's.Bunch of us huddled around the console tv with our paper 3D glasses on.lolol

That is amazing. That was my favorite movie growing up. If I wasn't so fat i'd like a suit of my own! Lol.

Yep that suit is looking great! Creature from the Black Lagoon I think is one of the great traditional horror films of all time. I really loved the movie as a kid. I have a VHS tape of the movie filmed in the original black and white version of the film I still plug it in and watch it sometimes.
