I'm currently in the early design phase of an exceedingly ambitious Deadpool cosplay. I'm intentionally redesigning the outfit to look more practical and useful, something that a mercenary would actually wear into combat. So no tights and every piece of clothing or equipment should serve a purpose. I also want to retain that Wade Wilson flair, a hint of the wackiness that belies his character.
Concept art and Notes:
I'm planning to sew together a padded vest as well. I've already got the front and back patterns.
I'm going for something like this: Joe Rocket Army Flak Vest - RevZilla
I still need to sew the thing together, and make the leather pouches and shoulder harness.
Grenades, shin guards, gauntlets, the mask and maybe a belt buckle are also on my list.
I'll keep this updated with whatever progress I've made, but if anyone has any tips on sewing something like the vest together or wants to talk about designs for some of the items on the list, do contribute.
