Destiny 2 Crimson - my first 3d printed prop

Well title says most of the story - got a 3d printer (anycubic i3 mega-s) and wanted to make myself a destiny gun - and i always liked crimson hand cannon (not quite ready to try printing a rifle yet)

i grabbed some files from thingiverse they turned out to be a bit flawed and had to chop some bits off to get them to fit together and crazy geometry made some weird internal stuff in simplify3d but they did print

after much sanding and primer/filler i put down a gun metal paint then rubbed it over with graphite powder then a matt clear coat - the spikes and the bayonet i did with molotow chrome with an airbrush - didn't put any clear on it - instead it mostly got blood! - the blood is citadel technical - blood for the blood god - it is disturbingly convincing to my eyes - before doing the blood i threw some ocre, brown and black acrylic wash and rubbed off - next time i think will try oil paint instead - saw adam savage tested video he did and said they are better for doing grime

i will be doing another one with 3d files i'm making myself - so should have better fitting parts and will add a few tweaks here and there make the handles detachable and more comfortable - this shape is not great to hold!! but for my first self printed 3d printed prob i'm happy enough with the result
