Nothing more need to be said than I can't wait for this game to come out. The beta was awesome, but now I have a destiny shaped hole in my heart, Props it is!
This started as these things go Luckily bungie released a 3d render of the knife for costumers.
then i took that and made a blueprint out of it.
since this is a pretty straightforward design i opted out of making multiple angles on the blueprint. I knew that for the most part i would be able to get by without it.
With the blueprint done i printed it out and transferred it to the mdf base, adding to the thickness of the knife with more mdf. The surface details were all done out of styrene
then some good ol primer to get the details right.
I molded it using mold star 30.
first one out of the mold.
cleaned up and primed. I used a brushed chrome for a base and weathered it before the blood effect.
The came the highly professional and advanced technique of clamping the knife at an angle and letting a heavy wash run down.
A handle wrap and some clear coat and we are done!
