Hi all, I’ve been contemplating making a replica metal sai set using my production stunt sai from the elektra movie as a basis to design from (reverse engineered essentially) I mentioned it in a few prop groups on Facebook and the main consensus is that most people are angry/annoyed i would even consider this because it could cause their props value to decrease. For those that buy, make and sell replica props what’s your thoughts and feelings on this and what are your work arounds?
For reference I’ll include the WIP of the sai currently in design and the prop I’m using to reverse engineer it off due to a 3D scan.
Worse case scenario here I don’t end up going down the replicating route however I will still be looking at making a set just for my own collection
