UPDATE ON PAGE FOUR - I love obscure props, ones that you may not have really noticed the first 100 times you saw the movie or movies. Graflite on the X Wing cockpit dash, vintage ear dome on the table of Obi Wan's home, or the Millennium Falcon interior lights. My neighbor just bought a laser cutter and well here we are! I'll post progress on these soon!

Filed down the rough casting spurs, decked the back so it's flat, and played around with distressing the aluminum so it's all uniform. Out of the box there's some minor machining done to the threaded nipple and it's way too bright for Star Wars! I'm really pleased with the outcome!

Tomorrow I'll plot the backing plate and figure out the acrylic, This will be a fun project!

Wait...did you CAST the coughtree lamps or did you just tinker with the real one?

MAy I ask about the lighting solution for the lamps?...have some pics?

Markus these are real lamp pieces, I have a case of them!

I have a silicone LED flexible strip light to coil inside the lamp that seems to work well. The acrylic I had ordered is not correct so I’m on the hunt for a correct version. Busy week for me, my daughter is getting married Saturday so I’ll hit this and other things hard when we get back, thanks!

I have one Coughtrie lamp base left if anyone wants one. In the UK.
