Finished a Harry Potter Wand

I’ve made a couple wands before but not Harry’s. Thought I’d give it a try.

Started by hand carving the basic shape in some wood.

Sculpted the handle from some epoxy wood putty. This was kind of tricky but I think it came out great. The putty actually contains wood which is kind of neat.

Mixed up some custom stains and went to work.

The finished wand after clear coat and polish. I’m really happy with it, especially since the whole thing only took a few hours.

I just came across you post. You wand looks great.
I'm interested in try to make my own replica of Harry Potter's Wand. How did you shape the wood or make the wand part before the handle? What are dimensions of your wand in the length and circumference?

That turned out great. I have been making "non-official" character wands for my collection. They get to be many. Keep up the great work.

Not sure if I am allowed to post links but I just started sharing some of my wands on youtube. My channel is wandsandreviews. Wands and Reviews
