Selling this spare Compac Super that I converted to 2.5x on the lathe.
Added a real glass objective lens, so the scope still works.
This scope doesn’t have real turret caps, so I modeled and printed several extra sets that slip over the turrets and are pressure fit. I even added the concave top to the windage cap.
There is a very small dent in the ocular lens housing that I’ve positioned to the underside of the body, it’s hardly noticeable (added a pic below). There are a few other small scratches in the finish of the main tube that I’ve quickly touched up with a paint pen. Nothing crazy.
I also used a silver paint pen to add the scratches on the ocular housing that I see in the chronicles pics.
Here are some pictures through the scope (difficult to focus with my camera phone, it's a perfectly clear image, in person, and the crosshairs are perfect) and some pics of the various sets of turret caps I made. Two sets are PLA, and three are resin. There are two different knurling styles, thinner and thicker. A couple of the sets do not include the concave windage cap, in case you prefer that look. I think I'll go back and re-polish the tops of the caps that show a little orange-peel, to make the finish look a little nicer.
And a shot of the small dent in the ocular lens bell (the black line to the left of the dent is just a reflection). The actual dent is just that small teardrop shape.
And a shot of the front objective lens.
Now asking $550 shipped in the lower 48. If you’re international we’ll have to figure out shipping at the time of purchase.
If you want me to repaint the main tube, I can do that for another $75. It’s a tedious process, but you can see the results of a repainted tube in my blaster thread, here.
