If they do happen to get this one out by the end of this year, it will be 41 years since the release of the 1st Gremlins movie in 84. To me, it seems that most "new" movies being put out there now are just re-releases, sequels, different spins on old movies and such. What happened to creativity and new ideas in Hollywood? Crickets.........

They tend to flop. Last year's Strange Darling was one of the best, most creative movies I've seen in years and it bombed hard.

I think A24 is the company to follow for new movies, people tend to think of em as horror focused but in the last few years they've had so many amazing original movies released under their banner; Everything Everywhere All at Once, Civil War, Uncut Gems, Lady Bird, Talk to Me, The Whale, The Zone of Interest, Hereditary, Moonlight, Heretic, Midsommar...
