Starting this project thread a little late but... just discovered this site a few weeks ago while searching for Iron Man costume ideas. Still planning the IM suit, but i wanted to do a project to get familiar with pep. Also wanted to have something to show off at Insomniac's Nocturnal Wonderland in september. So I have started this! BIG THANKS TO DUNG0BEETLE! It took alot of research and digging to find these pep files and i had to modify the file for Letter page format, but after a week of work this is what i have.

Having some issues today with the ears. the pep is just too tight and technical. Any suggestions for an alternative? Ive seen some made with regular and large beer cans, but i cant find the thread now.

Finally got some cash and made some progress today! Got the top of the dome resin coated. I decided to start with the dome cuz i figure its the least likely to warp and will make a good foundation for the rest.

Decided to try the aluminum can ears. Here u can see the size comparison and get an idea of how it will look:

Now i just need to finish these two Fosters and decide if im sober enough to start on the ears! :lol

Looks great! The Discovery era is the version that rarely gets made, but that's sad because it's a very nice design and quite different from the HAA version.

Allrighty!! So, the Fosters are in my tummy and i got the rest of the helmet first-coated:

Also got the cans cut and glued:

Also built a little paper rig out of misprinted stock to keep the ears square while gluing them in:

Getting so much done now that I have supplies!
