Hello RPF!

Fell in love with the N-S9 Starpath unit from Andor.
Anyone know what the main body is? I've found this "Doust found “an old piece of military junk” that had handles, and it looked like something you’d plug into a larger machine." So some kind of military hardware.

Does anyone know of any replicas having been made? Or maybe have some good reference material? I've attached what I have.

Handles could be 1.5u rack mount pulls.

The gold components may be some sort of modified "C" style spring contact.

The wires that cross may be USB 3.0 10 pin ribbon cable.

Square indicator lights may be "(LMP) AB71469".

Great finds! All noted. The C style spring contacts definitely look right, if compressed a bit further, and maybe flipped upside down.
The ribbon cable also looks pretty spot on.
The indicator light might be right as well, but I reckon it could also just be some kind of plastic cut out, same for the blue parts. Difficult to say with the quality of the images.

The tubes running along each side remind me of fuses. But they're quite large, and appear octagonal.

Handles might be something along the lines of this.

There’s one on Etsy that I’ve been eyeing. I just don’t think something like this should be an all-inclusive print. Too many components went into the actual prop and while it looks good (much better than I could ever do) it’s just too flat if you know what I mean.

Agreed. The front also looks to maybe be shiny black acrylic? Which will probably be disproportionately hard to replicate, compared to just using the right material.

If anyones interested in revisiting this, I’d love to attempt a build! I’m almost done with both my projects and looking for something to get into this weekend. ANY help would be great.

I’m about to order a 12x12 black acrylic plate for the front. Trying to figure out that red indicator light, but I’ll keep looking.

I used these files Star Wars Andor Starpath Unit | 3D Print Model

The only thing was the top and bottom are the same in the files, but should be a different bottom, I managed to find a reference
