Unlimited Run Jurassic Park Cryocan

Maybe this is also a good way to proceed: people that want a can, can order one and it's shipped to them and only AFTER they get the can at home, they pay for it. No risk for the buyer in that case.

Anyway, not my monkeys here... Already have the best possible can of the best known Cryocan replica maker here on the forum ;-).
I have said before that I am willing to do what it takes to show I am not a theif and that as I have said I had some health issues and things just didnt turn out as expected. This is the first time I did a project run like this and honestly it was a bigger job than I expected. So if anyone wants one of my replicas, send me a message and I will mail you one and send a paypal invoice. But you can withhold the payment until you have the Cryo-can in hand and are satisfied with it. I am confident that it matches my description and that the quality is good. I put a ton of work into it. Once you have it in hand, you can pay me.

I will take 100% of the risk.

Apollo you have been my biggest critic. What do you think about that?

Sounds like a plan and hopefully you will not get a Cease and desist from the IP holder

I don't want to be annoying or something but I have a little advice for your Cryocan : when the prop was built they used to bottom of the Barbasol can as the bottom of the Cryocan, they didn't recreated it in aluminium. You can see that on the actual screen used prop ( there's even an ugly glue mark ).
Otherwise I think that you did an incredible work . Did you thaught about making a screw mecanism inside of the can ?

Thank you for the comment. I actually thought about this and I knew that they just glued the cut off barbasol can to the bottom of the housing. This always seemed like a quick short cut to me and trying to reproduce that wasn't what I wanted to do. So I machined the aluminum base to have the same curvature as the bottom of the barbasol cans. It was a design choice. But if you want to glue a cut off can base to it you absolutely could.

As for the screw mechanism, the actual prop did not have a screw mechanism it it. It uses the same O-ring design that mine does. In the film they say it was a screw and then just rotate it while pulling. I thought about making an actual screw mechanism, but on this design decision I thought it would be better to hold true to the real prop. Partially because of the effort it would take to add threads to the outside can. The material is very thing and the only way I could think to add a real screw mechanism would be to have custom cans made.

Hello everyone,

I was so very lucky to get to meet Wayne Knight in person. I gave him one of my cryocans and he commented how awesome it was that I did all the work to reproduce it. It was a wonderful feeling to show my project to him and get a photo of me and him together with my cryocan. I wanted to share the pictures. I asked him to sign one of my barbasol can labels which I plan to attach to a can for my final display piece for my collection. I thought it would be easier to sign the label before I put it on the can.

While I was there I asked him to sign some more labels. He was so friendly and surprisingly the line was not very long. I waited in line a few times to get all of these signed because I didn't want to make other people wait for him to sign so many things. If you have ever wanted an autographed cryocan now is your chance. I got 6 signed, but one is my personal one and a second one is for my close friend. But that means I have 4 left. If you are interested you can message me.

I still have plenty of the cryocans available if anyone is interested. I have sent 2 out free of charge and only sent the invoice to them after they received it.

Just wanted to chime in here....I received a cryocan from DinoDino this past week. Though I am not an expert on the accuracy, it is very nicely made and exceeded my expectations for a prop replica. He was a pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond to make the transaction easy. I'm not sure what happened previously in this thread, but I would buy from DinoDino again if he was offering something I wanted.
