I always thought that HCG could have knocked this out of the park IF they simply added a cover. The base is nice and heavy, I felt they could have moved the small plastic holder under the barrel to the rear in a better locking location and even with the glitchy digital counter it was pretty good prop replica. I am thinking of adding a base to the bottom but it doesn’t look bad as is? thoughts

That looks great and I don't think you need to add a base but if you do I think you would want to make a complete base that holds the gun too instead of just putting the existing stand onto a new base.

You must have a really good acrylic guy or he is really appreciative of the work your giving him or both.

Thanks for that input I think I am going to leave it as is. And you are you are correct its both
 
Sweet display cases!

I always loved this prop, and wondered how the Hero went together, does anyone know or have any pics of how the parts attached to/interfaced with the Vektor?

I suppose I'll Google and see what I can find, but as far as I can recall, I've never been able to read or see the story of this space gun's conception.
