Hi everyone,
Im a LEGO and Pirates of the caribbean enthusiast so much so, that i wanted to capture my love for these films in various LEGO Ship MOCs (My own creation) I have recently run aground when it comes to one ship in particular,

The Silent Mary, Made for the 5th film Dead men Tell no Tales. The Silent Mary was the pride of the spanish navy with her castle-like appearance, with towers and a prison deck which made it look like a spanish castle floating at sea. She is an absolute beauty and a ship that i want to recreate as faithfully as possible. Due to structural issues I want to make the Pre-cursed version of the ship, in her full glory and her best shape. Unfortunately no blueprint of this ship exists anywhere (except for the blueprint of Mellpapa, a japanese ship maker, but it was based off the film and his own imagination, certain details are wrong on that blueprint as well)

Now I have done a few ships already, like the Pearl and the Flying dutchman is in its digital building state. I completed both ships with the official blueprints that could be found online. I have also done extensive research to find any information regarding the ship, its size and overall scale in comparison to the Other ships like The Black Pearl etc. and although I got somewhere with the initial concept arts posted by the talented Jeremy Love. The concept art is unfortunately not accurate if you compare it to the final CG render of the ship in the Flashback sequence in the film. There was another portfolio site of someone who worked on the film but unfortunately besides the Flying Dutchman, she has not posted illustrations of any of the other ships in the film.

The only thing that I could find which gives me a good side view of the ship, Was in a companion guide about the film, this however had a render of the cursed version and isn’t in a straight orthographic view, With a lot of lens distortion going on and perspective trickery, which is why i can’t use that image of the ship as a blueprint.

If anyone has any information about the CG ship asset in the film, please feel free to comment and discuss. I gladly accept any help I can get. As of right now I've really run aground with this project. But I don't want to give up.

For the first time I want to share my progress of this soon to be incredible build!
