Looking for a pattern for a ww2 crusher hat.

I have started collecting hats. I would really like to get a a us world war 2 crusher hat, also known as a 50 mission hat. It is a officers hat that has had the stiffener removed so that pilots could wear their headsets over top of them. But as I want to wear the hat, i don't feel right buying an antique hat. So i was wondering if anyone has a pattern or can make one. This is an example of the hat. thanks

These guys do replicas, I'm pretty sure they did the wardrobe for Pearl Harbor, about the only good thing about the movie.
