Making Rey's lightsaber

Started on a new lightsaber this one is going to be a challenge for me, lots of engineering issues to work out, I started off by putchasing a 3d printed Rey's lightsaber as a base to figure things out.
The parts didn't even fit together so I cut it up and tried attaching the little emitter flaps with pins.
That didn't work so I bought some 8mm hinges and started on attaching the flaps with those.

I have yet to see an accurate 3-D printed Rey saber for sale. The "petals" you are showing have the wrong shape, but your hinge choice shows promise for sure! Look at pics of the Black Series or Galaxy's Edge sabers - there's a lot more detail on there.
You are wise to start with the most challenging part!
