I love the show and have been slowly getting parts to build a man in black costume.

here is some reference and links to what i am using or considering using.

the jacket is going to be made by magnoli clothiers.

the material for the screen used jacket was made by these guys. they are now accepting orders for the this material at 105 a yard.

here is a pic of the material.

they will also do the vest or god save the queen fashions will do it for me.

the hat is a black us cavalry hat that is flattened.

if you want the real deal baron's that made the hats for show is offering the man in black. thanks to user benhs1898 for the link in the westworld costume thread.

now to decide either a stetson or buy this one. it is pretty popular style of cowboy hat.

his shirt looks like a dyed gambler shirt.

his tie is what they call a diamond dobby print. this is the closes i have found. with some mods this will be pretty close. it needs to be sun bleached.

material so far for the vest.

the gun is a le mat. denix makes a replica that needs to be moded. here is a whole thread on how it is done and the parts you need.

the knife is a bowie knife that is available at http://nantahalatradingpost.com/daggers--bowies.html
the bowie has been aged and they added twine to the hilt and the end of the handle.

here is my bowie with my maze scalp replica.

here is the reference for the gunbelt. the belt is called a money belt. he has a right hand cross draw slim jim main holster and a loop holster to hold another barrel and cylinder assembly for his le mat. he also has 3 loops for 20 gauge brass shotgun shells. this is same belt william is wearing when he comes back to sweetwater.

thanks! on the jacket time line i am not sure. hoping in a month or too. indy magnoli is making it. so he would know before i would.

thanks, i am going to continue to post what i use and what the show used as i find parts. kinda of a MIB one stop costume reference thread.

Great build on the belt! It appears he uses the sheath that comes with the Bowie, is this correct?

thanks, i believe it is the same, they just cut the holding strap off. hope to have the belt completed tomorrow. i think my belt is a alittle too wide. but overall i like it.

I hope we find a good source on his gloves. They're gauntlets aren't they? In some photos they are tucked into the sleeves but I believe there are some photos where you can see how long they are.

they are long but i have not found any pics of the gloves not shoved into his sleeves.

Awesome research mrbungle! I am also working on a MIB costume, and I also tracked down the weaver who provided the fabric for the jacket. I thought I was so clever, but you beat me to it! When I initially emailed them, they didn't intend to make any more of the fabric, but they responded a couple days later and said there was enough interest to do another run. :)

Thanks. There was to much going on in the main westworld thread so i decided to do a thread dedicated to the mib. But that is what they said to me after my initial pm. So hopefully they will make some and sell but the yard.

here is the gun belt. just need one more band and rivets , then stain. not 100% accurate but good enough for a first attempt.

Looks amazing! I was looking into the denix Lemat and was disappointed to see that the show features a completely custom break-down. The screen-used gun was heavily modified to accommodate cartridge rounds and rear-load the shotgun round.

Thanks. Yes I saw that video and I have to mod my lemat to match. Waiting on. The trigger guard.

it does not look to hard. trigger guard replaced , lanyard installed on bottom of the handle. and make a line cut into the cylinder to make it like it accepts cartridges. i alos have to mold the barrels and the cylinder so i have one for the smaller holster.
