My aliens face hugger build

This is incredible. Not sure how I missed that you’re hand sculpting this!

Any particular face hugger you’re aiming to replicate? Awesome regardless

I did most of my ref from screen grabs from 1st movie, such a big diff between movies so I just tried to get a much as I needed from all the movies and put this together, hopefully I do the little bugger credit when finished :)

Need a little help, I've designed a rig to make my face hugger flinch when a button pressed, wanted to do a simple cable mechanism with a motor from a cordless drill, problem in having is the motor starts to smoke when I connect a 3cell lipo battery (11.1v) the drill was a 12v drill, I've tried 12v pack with AA battery but doesn't give me the umpf when under load and doesn't turn the mechanism have put a video in to explain, if any electronic people can tell what I'm doing wrong or is it just that the motor is faulty. Thx guys.

@celtic touch I'm guessing you don't still have the original battery for the drill? If yup, I'd be testing your motor with that 1st.
I'm woefully ignorant re electrically stuff, but I'm guessing the amperage output is way too much for that motor. 12V NiCad lantern battery maybe?

Hey septic, yes that's what I was thinking too, but I have hooked it up to a 12v wall socket and 12v AA battery pack but then is not enough torque , which is the reason using drill motor as they have some umph to them, actual of to a recycling shop to see if can get a few more cordless drill motors to play with, hmm I'll figure it out hopefully, didn't wanna go the arduino/25kg servo coding route, wanted to keep it simple, a work in progress, will keep posting progress(if I make progress with it lol) thx

Just an update, test fitting fingers, they are not glued and patched in yet, body will have filler stuffing like a stuffed toy, and flexible metal rods to pose the legs, making this one for a friends birthday present
