David Jones JBR ROTJ Darth Vader Helmet - Number 1 of 20
Let me preface this review by saying I've owned many Darth Vader Helmet replicas over the years. Starting with the Don Post limited Vader and many after that. I was lucky enough to get the EFX legend when it was released which I still have that gem despite its sanitized look. Ever since I saw Vader on the big screen back in 1977 I was obsessed. It was a life long dream to own my very own Darth Vader helmet. Going so far as to clip out my first Darth Vader picture from the TV guide as a child and hiding it under my pillow praying I have one.
Well today the dream came true thanks to Daves hard work in bringing what I would consider the most definitive and accurate Darth Vader offered. I mean that with all my heart. Going over it in detail it has all the crazy details that you would expect from a cast so close to the original. All the dings and divots preserved from the plaster cast of the original. In terms of size it has that robust large dome that you see from the original and not the pinched warped look that frankly most replicas have. The facemask has all the accurate parts like the original. Metal tusks and mesh. The helmet is strong but light. Top quality materials. The painting is spot on. High quality and very shiny despite no clear coat. Its a beast of a Vader helmet that has THE movie look. It has the movie size. No shrinkage or warped look. I love it. So thank you Dave. I couldn't be more happier !!!!
Packing- Stellar packing. Very well thought out. It came in pristine condition.
The stand is well done and makes it very easy to display. The plaque is very professional and perfect for this caliber of helmet.
