Looking for some fabric advice for my second run as Nebula in her ravager jumpsuit from Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 (and subsequently Infinity War). Below are some pics of my first version.
Instead of a jumpsuit, my spouse and I decided just to make it three separate pieces due to time constraints. The pants were just store bought, painted and altered, but the top and jacket were made by my spouse from a faux leather. Unfortunately the fabric we ordered was supposed to be for apparel but the fabric that arrived was upholstery and we just bit the bullet and dealt with it.
So I plan on remaking literally everything from the neck down, and this time as a jumpsuit, but I'm looking for suggestions on what type of fabric to use. I've spent hours looking at all angles of the costume and I really don't think a leather or faux leather would be correct, but I am also admittedly not great at identifying fabrics. Typically I will just go down to Joanne's and test the look and feel to get a general idea, but I am having a bit of trouble with this one. I also recognize the different textures on the different sections, I'm just hoping for a jumping off point for the general jumpsuit.
