Need advice on making "prosthetic" masks

I am new to doing this, I have basic concepts on how it's done, though could use some advice and good references for information. I'm planning to start sculpting for a mask that I want to move with my face, while making me appear like a totally different character. Believable movements, like smile, grimmace, so on. This is for a larger scale full body costume, you could say a monster. Though, I don't know techniques outside of making the plaster mold of my head, and sculpting the clay on there. But as far as turning it into a flexible form fitting mask, preferably without having to glue it on, or as minimal adhesion required.

Help?
