Need help on ninja material

Hitorgiri, I am in the Indianapolis Bujinkan Dojo Sensei Bob Johnson. off and on since 1988. Unfortuneately more off lately as my job doesn't give me anytime for stuff outside of work.. :(
 
I don't know how comfortable it would be, but the "boots" remind me of ski boots. Not that you would use ski boots, impossible to walk in, but You could take a base boot or gym shoe, make the instep cover vac formed, the ankle and calf vac formed, along with the knee cap vaced. For added flexability, you can see that the top calf, and ankle seem to be 2 pieces. If you make it that way, even though it would be rigid, in multiple pieces, it should be pretty flexable. You could use just about any shoe for a base seeing that you can cover the instep with something to hide laces, or even find a comfortable slip on shoe.
