Off the rack Han Solo pants

Okay so today I was at my local Goodwill store looking around for Han Solo pant ideas for the build I am doing and I stumbled across these bad boys for $4.99. They are from Gap and according to the tag are "ringspun denim". They are button fly and made of 100% cotton. Although they are considered denim the construction, pocket style, pocket placement, and feel of the pants is closer to a khaki or chino style pants. I attempted to look around the Gap website with little luck.

They have a nice indigo blue shade to them as well as a denim like pattern or look. The front of the pants have a single top pleat that will be easy enough to continue all the way down the front leg.

Here is where I really got excited and knew I had hit the Goodwill jackpot for the day. Not only where they slightly large on me which will allow for easier placement of the bloodstripes, they already have a sewn in RIDING SEAT!!! Yeah no ****, already there.

They are only stamped with GAP 1969 along the inner waist band and all the other information I could find was on one of the interior back pockets.

Needless to say they are not 100% screen accurate but WAY better than a lot of options currently being used. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll try and figure out an answer for you.

No thoughts from anyone, no one to share my excitement, no one to tell me I shouldn't be as excited as I was? Just curious what everyone's opinion was.

I think everyone is just envious you scored that in the wild.:lol

I'm looking for a pair myself but it looks like I'll just end up having to make 'em, just like everyone else. Well, everyone but you, now.;)

Yeah, that's better. Friendly Flyer they are a tad low cut but I figured with the addition of the holster and belt hopefully it won't be that noticeable. Pelps, just keep an eye peeled. Goodwill and higher end resale shops or the bay and craigslist would be the place. I imagine they are probably from last season which is why I couldn't find them on the Gap website but I'm sure they're out there to be had

Pretty cool. That being said, the riding seam on Solo's pants continues all the way down the backs of the legs. What you have there appears to be a reinforced seat, like on a pair of tactical pants. Better than most options out there, though.
