I should perhaps have explained what it's for . . . . If you take this clip and add it as a layer in an FX software like After Effects, you can place your own footage behind it and overlay this on top (either set the blending mode to "screen" or key out the black color) to duplicate the effect where you see the Pred's laser triangle sight locking on to a target.

i know what its for and will more than likely use it in my next vid. was gonna slap one of these together in 3ds max or after effects but u saved me the trouble. thanks mate

I knocked it together in After Effects. I use Blender instead of 3DS, but my skills with 3d animation are primitive at best.
