When I got this started with my freind in California, we originally were going to make it completly based off Scar-face from Predator: Concrete Jungle. But along with a few complications and dislikes about certains parts of it, we decided to revamp it. Now it's going to look like a big cross between CJ, and the first two Predator movies.
Even though he was going to make it all and I pay him, I'm a cosplayer, so of course I'm not going to want him to make it all on his own. So I'm getting the things he can't (Such as animal skulls, real and replicated.), and making lil bonus peices.
Here's something that he pointed out that makes it different from most costumes. It's got the basic idea of most, latex skin and netting, but the armor (except for wristblades, plasma caster, mask, etc.) is made of theatrical foam.
Dispite my first impressions, when you paint this stuff and use the right glue, this stuff is GOOD. It looks like metal, it's light and comfortable.
Now, the only thing I didn't like, mostly because I told him I didn't want the particular copy of the helmet mask b4 he bought it, was the helmet is one of the first sculpted Celtic Masks. But thankfully, he cleaned it up so it doesen't look like...well anyway it looked alot better.
The gauntlets were interesting to me. They're neither foam, nor resin. They're latex copies of P2. (With P1 computer mounted.) The only trouble is he couldnt find decent wristblades to fit them, so I'm making my own from scratch.
And the last of my story tellin', I bought what I was TOLD was a full sized AVP plasma Caster, but it was CRAP. It was about 9 inches long, poorly molded (seam lines, stuff like that.) but my freind in california offered to fix that up for free. He not only paintd it and mounted it on my backpack, but he turned it into a 1 of a kind BEAUTY!
Ok, enough ranting, time to post some pics. I'm open for suggestions and such.
