This run is live, price is $30 for one or $50 for two + $13.60 USA shipping (includes $50 insurance).

Unfortunately they're too big for a small USPS flat rate box but they will fit comfortably in a medium flat rate box so unless anyone has a better idea I'll be shipping them that way.

Please PayPal tom@tomleech.com including your RPF name and shipping address and comment "Payment sent" here. If you are worried about the fit feel free to PM me, I can do a larger upper cutout for extra thick hilts.

My slicer's current estimate for these is 20 hours each, it usually ends up being a few hours more. I will try to keep a running total of how many stands I have on hand

I've been working on my own interpretation of the vertical stand included with PropShop's lightsaber replicas and I think it's more or less ready. Thought it was worth seeing if there'd be any interest in them.

They're 3d printed ABS in 4 pieces to get the smoothest finish and require the least finishing work. I was planning on offering them either in the various pieces or acetone welded together and as raw black prints rather than filling/sanding or adding texture.

As they're 3d printed I could probably offer slight variations of diameter for particularly fat or extra thin hilts.

They're fairly large and separated into the various parts I can only print one at once and it's a 20 hour print. If they were printed in one piece I could print two in 33 hours and reduce the cost a little but wouldn't be as nice and require more finish work from you guys.

Here's some pictures of the most recent version of the design holding a Phoenix Props Kylo Ren and a Vintage ESB Graflex:

If enough people are interested I'll just turn this into an unlimited run thread and start making them :)

Unlimited Run

Well I think that's enough interest to be worth starting this up :)

I'm going to go with multi-part prints for the best quality and set the price for now at $30 ($50 for two) + shipping.

If the long print time ends up being too much the price might go up.

I'll give the usual answer-- I'd be interested depending on the price!

Will this be able to hold the new bigger V2 version of the Phoenix Props Kylo Ren Crossguard?

Yup, the main body diameter hasn't increased a huge amount, it's mostly the top part that's changed along with overall length :)

Interested in at least 2, maybe 4...

I've got two assembled ready to go and I think two complete sets of pieces :) PM me if you want them

Just a quick update, I'm currently having printer problems and it's looking like I will need to replace the printer. I'm doing a rush RMA which means I have to buy a new printer which will get refunded when they receive the old one.

Upshot of this is I am set back several days on printing these stands. I am however still taking orders and still operating on a first come first served basis, it will just take me a few days to be able to start to printing new stands :)

How weighty / stable are these things and how secure are the sabres in them? For example, would they survive a blow from an errant feather duster rooting around?

The stands themselves aren't particularly heavy but they're decently wide and the cutout area for the saber is quite deep and overall they're pretty well balanced. If you're trying to knock it over you will but they'd survive a dusting :) I can put up a video later if that helps.

[Edit] Here's a video to help answer your question :)

Good news everyone!

Not only am I now caught up on orders (printer has been completely replaced) but I'm currently testing some new settings (left pic) in a different slicer that, as long as they don't affect final quality, will mean I can print these things faster :D
