Punisher cosplay M134 minigun -first build - (FINISHED!!!!)

I decided to go as The Punisher for Halloween this year. Not having a while lot of extra cash lying around to do it up right I thought I would make my first ever attempt at creating something. Well why not a M134 minigun.

I had seen a couple on the web from instructables and found a parts list from restrainingbolt.com and began from there.

Only the barrels are done as of now. I am having to modify a lot from what the restrainingbolt tutorial showed.

While it won't win any awards (I was thinking if entering it in a local scale modeling contest, Modelzona, on Nov. 1st if it comes out ok) it should suffice.

Here is what I have so far. The body will commence probably tomorrow night.

WICKED! I'm going as Punisher myself! This is gonna be a cool twist on the character, He's not incredibly often seen with this degree of man portable heavy hardware. Following this project, looks like it's off to a great start!

Thanks.

I only had a little progress over the weekend. Basically just epoxied on the mounting yokes. Tomorrow I will be adding some of the support mechanisms on top and trying to sand the side drums down smooth. My goal is by week's end to have it done. Too many other things to get done prior to halloween.

I will take more pictures in the next couple of days.

Btw he lazy Susan allows the barrels to rotate

Here are updated pics of progress on the minigun body.

I have to shorten the handle as it looks too big.

Progress from last night. Added the drums on sides and started on handle. Have to get it done by this weekend.

Tonight's progress. Have to wait for wood glue to dry before drilling into it to affix handles.

Don't know but would would guess 5-10 pounds. Need to make a couple tweaks as the connection from lazy Susan to barrels is weak. Will strengthen it up before Friday

Damn.......while I would have to say that a minigun is not the first gun of choice when it comes to the Punisher (for me at least), you've done a damn good job on that!

Is this thread just on the gun prop...............or maybe will we get to see a Punisher costume go with it too? :love

I will post a pic of the rest of the costume but this is bar far the biggest piece. I had to do what I could afford so no body armor or boots. In my size that costs $$$. Accessories will include holster on belt too

My son went as a soldier last year and used the M4 with M203 but once I saw a build of a minigun last halloween I have been making preparations to do one all year
