Hello everyone, this is my first post... please be patient, well here I leave you a replica of a RADIATION KING RADIO that I made from scratch, I am an old school cosmaker, so no 3D printing, everything "old fashioned", I hope you enjoy it like I do.... greetings.

1- Well I started with some pine wood boards that I had loose and before throwing them away I thought they were right for this project, with a grinder, I gave it the curve and with sandpaper I tidied it up.

2 - I had previously planned to start making an original prop, that is, one that didn't look like anything, that was designed and created by me using the well-known brand

3 - But that was when I said... as a good Fallout fan I should have my own Radiation King Radio but the one that appears in the game... and that's how I started...

Use a plastic sheet from an old tourist information poster that I found lying around... about 3 to 4 cm thick, with that I detail the frame,

Throughout this process use instant glue... CYANOCRYLATE...See how the finished frame looks and try it on the wooden box.

Now it's time to get to the most detailed part, the face of the radio and its characteristic part.

Well, the previous step was easy, draw the design of the face of the radio, then transfer it to plastic, and start cutting, obviously everything with measurements so it's about leaving it as symmetrical as possible

In case someone doesn't know how those flaps are made, just cut out the drawing and leave the part uncut where it will be held, from there you just push the piece and hold it with glue.

Well, the previous process is nothing more than drawing the dial face, in my case I used a 0.05 and 0.5 stylus because it was very finite....prolixity??? Naaaaa what's that... I could have printed it, but I prefer handmade and I was inspired, so much so that I even gave it my name:p:p:p:p

The knobs. Or I just made the tuner by gluing several layers of plastic one on top of the other and then I shaped them all by gluing them to some knobs that I found somewhere...

I found an old Bluetooth radio which I decided to try to modify so I could put it in the box and make the radio functional in a way, well try, since it has a digital tuner so... since I have no idea about electronics, I only base it on what I can, so part of the radio the electronics will be in the back. so it can be controlled without affecting the front

The back cover contained the radio commands... the idea was great but, one day, because I was sleepy, I left everything on the table. and I went to bed...the thing is when I got up, my cat WUKONG had started playing with the things on the table. breaking the radio plate that I had found so, which made it difficult for me to continue since I had made the back cover with the idea of using that plate, so the anchors and so on were made for nothing

And the truth is I liked how it turned out... a shameo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

It was taking shape...that inspired me more...every time I tried to put things together even though I had no logic in putting it together because I needed a radio that worked and my cat had broken my plate...so while I was thinking of a solution...I put it together and put it together to see what it looked like.

After a week I remembered that I had another Bluetooth speaker but a cylindrical one, I don't know how I was going to adapt it but something was going to occur to me...
Actually what I did was an extension system for what would be the front buttons of the original design, scaling them so that they would be functional, later... it occurred to me to make a small pulley between the knob and the dial needle so at least it wouldn't be static, it wouldn't be of any use but it could be moved...

I secured the cables with silicone... I made the front of the dial with a glass... I put LEDs in it, looking for where to get LEDs from on the radio plate...

...........................................

Until finallyyyyyy!!!!!!!

After a month (it's not that I spent a month doing it) that's how long it takes since my responsibilities consume a lot of my time, that's why in my free time I start doing these things, it happens to me with cosplays... The best thing is that I finish, here are a few images, but in reality I have a lot of photos of the process, I like to save them to later enjoy how from an idea you can kill things.....

It is my first post, I will try to do better next time.... I hope you enjoyed my little adventure as I did.... a cordial greeting from me to you.... From Argentina....

Danniel.

P.D: Listening to Mr. New Vegas now will feel great
