Raiders of the Lost Ark (wooden crate)

Hi everyone,

My buddy has a lot of really cool Indy items to display, so I built the wooden crate (Ark carrier) around a server display case. We will add this to the pedestal & map room scenes that we are completing for charities and comic cons. I am putting a shelf on the inside and it will house the cool artifacts.

The 2 pieces of wood coming out from the sides are just there for stability for the dolly it is on right now. I am going to put a burn mark through the swastik kar like in the movie. Then it will be complete.

Put a couple of dead rats in front of it and your good to go! :thumbsup

Yep. Love the rats idea. Suppose you could also have a remote controlled mp3 player play that eerie sound they used.

Finished the crate. The burn mark has been added, the shelf installed, and the movie props inside. I added the last 2 pics.

What a great idea for an Indy prop display! The creativity that some of you folks have never ceases to amaze me! Very well done, indeed. :thumbsup

I never think of displays when I think of prop making but I have to say this is amongst some of the more memorable one's I've seen. I just makes life so much more badass when someone is carrying simple items in something iconic.

Thanks man. If that is your costume, it is awesome. I love the Arkham Scarecrow.
