I'm slowly posting up the various favorites I have for the costumes I've done, and this definitely ranks up there. With the wig I wanted to try and go for something a bit more modern while still having the huge amount of volume that Rogue's hair has had in the past-- so for that reason, the wig's actually two wigs, layered together with the bulk of the white wig bundled up under a secondary wig cap and the second hand sewn down. It makes for the volume, easier cleaning and maintance.
The spandex suit itself was easy to make-- matte spandex, piping, and all the materials were something around 30 dollars. The Jacket I patterned off based off of an earlier pattern (tailored in for fit, drafted a new collar, and rose the hem to be a bolero as opposed to a blazer) patches are simply scrap pieces of fabric with heat-n-bond.
Rogue has always been one of my absolute favorites in the comics and was a costume I waited to do until I felt I could really achieve everything to the level I wanted. The jacket, by far, is my favorite part.
