Rubies '09 Movie Phaser Makeover

I was at Star Trek Destination Europe a few weeks back and picked up a Rubies toy Phaser based on the '09 movie prop.
I thought that a repaint would give me a fairly decent toy replica. It got a bit more complicated than that, though

Wow, way nice work:) Great modeling skills to details. I really never followed Star Trek props other than the TOS series so I never knew how far off this 09 Rubies prop is.
It looks like all the Rubie toys need some electrical resoldering as half of my TOS phasers came without working sound or all the wires came off shortly after:facepalm
Glad you saved the sound and again impressive!!

Your process of going along with converting a toy and steadily realising more and more ways you can improve it reminds me of myself. Great work, I think you've ended up with a truly fantastic result, and very impressive remodelling using the filler (something that, thus far, I've not been able to get to grips with. Someday!)

There seemed to be two versions of the new Trek Beyond Phaser. Spock's looks a bit more beefy--a bit like the old Assault phaser from ST IV TUC
