Scarecrow meat hook

Hi folks, I'm dressing up as a scarecrow this Halloween and am looking at making some sort of meat hook with a 'T' handle. Has anyone made something like this and could give me some pointers? It will be for a trail down the woods we are organising, so it needs to be safe around children.
Any help would be gratefully received

I would look at a hay hook. Probably more likely to be found on a farm. Tractor Supply, as an example, has them for $9.99. Shouldn't take much to blunt the tip and make it look old and worn.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I used hay hooks during hay bailing season every year when I was a kid. Ours were simpler, more like this:

...which seems more appropriate for a scary Halloween outfit, having that rougher aesthetic.

It's a pretty basic design so probably relatively easy to recreate in foam.
