Severance

Hi all:

Thought I would kick off a Severance themed paper props thread with this book cover I've been working on for awhile: The You You Are by Ricken Hale!



A few notes:

• This cover is sized to fit Look Out for the Little Guy, by Scott Lang. It's easy to find and is a movie prop (Ant Man: Quantumania) in its own right!
  
  
• The image can be printed at 1:1 on 11" x 17" paper (with no borders). It's exactly 17" long! That's why the flaps are a little short.
  
  
• The cover art was partially sourced from other photos online, then enlarged using an AI upscaler, and then given some extra touches by myself. All text is 100% re-created from scratch. I think I got the fonts right; came as close as I could!
  
  
• The front inside flap is written by myself to fit this shot from the show:
  
  
  
• The back inside flap is content taken from the Severance Wiki, which points out a lot of the viral content that was released! The head shot of Ricken is actually that of actor Michael Chernus!
  
  
• The back cover's first paragraph is word-for-word content from the show's book:
  
  
  
• The back cover's remaining paragraphs were written by me in the same style, and also showcase a few of Ricken's more, uh, "motivational" quotes word-for-word.
  
  
• The back cover's boilerplate is partly from Look Out for the Little Guy and partly ad-libbed by me.

Here is my version of the "Music Dance Experience" one-sheet that appears in Episode #7:



Here's the art for download (PSD also available upon DM request). It was recreated by me from scratch. Fonts and spacing were matched carefully.

• Paper: Astrobrights "Lift-Off Lemon" (the greens are just not quite right)
• Size: 5.5" x 8.5"
• Lamination: Avery #73603 Self-Adhesive Laminating Sheets (a real laminator is less accurate).

Here is my version of the "Eagan Bingo" one-sheet that appears in Episode #3:



I made this from scratch:

• Traced the boxes and text from a screencap of the show onto clean paper using a lightbox
• Lifting the smudges from the screencap
• Sized correctly according to Helly's thumbs (why doesn't this show use standard sized paper?!)
• Made some small edits & fixes
• Added ink smudges around the edges
• Re-scanned to reduce quality.

• Size: about 6" x 9" (I cropped slightly larger so you can see the corners more clearly)

I printed a bunch at Walmart and clipped on a green clip for a stack of four images:

Here is my attempt to fix the distortion and clean up Petey's Map:



This is a direct capture from the show. After doing some perspective adjustments, sharpening, color correction, brightness/contrast adjustments, and lots of targeted painting, I think I've come pretty close. It should be printed at 4" x 6" photo dimensions.

Although it is technically supposed to be printed (or rather drawn) on the back of the original team photo, I'm going to try printing on satin photo paper and see if I can get close enough.

I will be going over the colored areas (especially the two gold spots) with real markers to add back some realism.

I captured it from the show, did some significant cleanup and patchwork from multiple photos, and then ran it through an AI enlarger. It should be printed at 4" x 6" standard U.S. photo size.
