Silver Spray Paint Question

So with my foam suits I was wondering if I could do a layer of silver spray paint first onto the suit and then after it dries hit it up with a layer of the color I want it to be. Do you think that will give it a nicer metallic look? In particular I'm thinking about my foam Iron Man suit that I just built and was wondering if anyone here has tried this out. Thanks!!

That strictly depends on the type of paint you use to top coat. If it is a "candy" or translucent paint, then the silver will shine through. If it is a solid, opaque paint, then you will have just wasted silver paint as primer.

Agreed. Depending on your use for the suit, the silver coat could be used for scratch battle damage if you have the opaque kind of paint
